Best Start is looking for dedicated community leaders like YOU to help develop programs that enhance the San Fernando Valley community. By joining the 2022 – 2023 Best Start United in Action process you could become a Project Team Leader and have the opportunity to collaborate with nonprofit organizations to develop a project proposal!
This year, the 2022 – 2023 Best Start United in Action process will focus on developing Project proposals that address the San Fernando Valley community-identified priorities and sub-categories are:
- Mental Health and Emotional Well-being
- Suicide prevention
- Nutrition, physical and mental exercise
- Technology Understanding the School System
- Digital literacy
- Digital language
- Protective Factors within Family Support & Education
- Positive parenting
- Child Development
- Leadership and advocacy with a focus on Homelessness and/or housing insecurity, Affordable Health Care, Affordable Childcare
- General Leadership
- General Advocacy
Eligibility Requirements: All applicants must live, work, go to school, or volunteer in the San Fernando Valley community.
